Breakfast

Between 8am and 9am enjoy our Award winning breakfast. A freshly cooked full Cumbrian breakfast made with locally sourced products; just the thing to keep you going through the day ahead. You can choose from fresh free range eggs supplied by Scales Farm. Dry cured rashers of back bacon, Cumberland sausage and black pudding, all supplied to us by our local butcher. Plump juicy grilled tomatoes, freshly sauteed mushrooms and baked beans.

Our extensive vegetarian/vegan and coeliac alternatives are cooked separately from any meat or wheat products. We will happily try to cater for special dietary needs if you let us know in advance.

There is also a buffet style selection of fruit juices and cereals on offer, including muesli and granola. There is also a fresh fruit salad and greek yoghurt.

Chris bakes his own bread and you can choose from white, sourdough or brown to have alongside jams & marmalade from the Hawkshead Relish Company (if you’re lucky, there may be some of Amy’s homemade marmalade!). 

We also offer Darkhouse coffee (roasted here in Keswick), Clipper tea (English Breakfast, Earl Grey, herbal & decaf options).
