In the morning, enjoy our Award winning breakfast. A freshly cooked full English breakfast made with locally sourced products; just the thing to keep you going through the day ahead. You can choose from fresh free range eggs supplied by Scales Farm. Dry cured rashers of back bacon, lightly spiced Cumberland sausage and locally sourced and produced black pudding, all supplied to us by award winning local butcher, Thomasons of Keswick. Plump juicy grilled tomatoes with a sprinkling of Italian herbs and fresh mushrooms sautéed in butter. Not forgetting the old family favourite, Heinz beans. Our extensive vegetarian and coeliac alternatives are cooked separately from any meat or wheat products. We will happily try to cater for special dietary needs if you let us know in advance. There is also a buffet style selection of fruit juices and cereals on offer, including our own very special hand mixed muesli. There is also a fresh fruit salad and a choice of yoghurts. To compliment your toast try our iconic Hawkshead Relish Raspberry & Vanilla jam or their Seville Marmalade. If you’ve never tasted it before, you’re in for a pleasant delight.

Why not try a 3 egg Omelette, light and fluffy, filled with a choice of ham or cheese, or why not go all the way with both.

Our freshly brewed coffee is Lazy Sunday, supplied by Taylors of Harrogate. For every four packs that our guests drink, Taylors plant a tree as part of their Rainforest Project. So Avondale has planted more than 70 trees. We normally serve Tetley tea but if you prefer a speciality tea then please ask, as we’ll probably have it.
